Forward by Donna's daughter Lisa Adney

We are all greatly saddened by the loss of my mother Donna Adney. She was a true champion and advocate of both the physical and mental well being of all creatures great and small.

I am Lisa Adney, Donna's daughter and early cofounder of Adneyhaus Private Boarding Kennels. I was with my mother at the inception, creation, and early success of Adneyhaus Private Boarding Kennels. I worked alongside my mother in the boarding care of your pets. I also did the transportation and petsitting for the furred, feathered, and finned pets at your home.

I would like to welcome you to Dansby Den and introduce Becky and Zahara Dansby another mother daughter team. I have guided them and endorse them in the care of your pets while staying at Dansby Den.

I truly believe that they are striving to continue Donna's legacy of commitment and care for your pets while you are away from them.

Sincerely

Lisa Adney Pierce

Continuing a Legacy of Love and Dedication

Donna's accomplishments in the world of animal care are nothing short of remarkable. Her deep connection with animals was evident to all who knew her. She had a calm demeanor that allowed her to quickly establish a bond of trust with every pet that crossed her path. As an animal expert, Donna possessed a unique insight into what it takes to help pets relax and thrive while in her care.

Donna's influence extended to dog training as well. She worked closely with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, using Schutzhund training to help train obedient dogs as protection animals. Her dedication was also evident in her dog breeding endeavors, where she achieved international recognition for the exceptional quality of her German shepherds. One of her proudest achievements was breeding CH Adneyhaus Black MT. Dakota, Alabama’s first best-in-show German shepherd.

Yet, Donna's commitment didn't end there. She was a true animal advocate, actively volunteering with the Humane Society of America as an emergency infant care volunteer. Her tireless work with various canine rescue organizations focused on infant socialization, rehabilitation for traumatized and abused dogs, and special-needs care. The Adneyhaus rescue history was a testament to her compassionate heart, encompassing dogs, cats, and even horses.

Donna's care knew no boundaries; she attended to all phases of life, providing sustaining care and nutrition to expectant mothers, birthing care, and support to weak or orphaned animals. Her mission was to rehabilitate and re-train animals who had faced negative human experiences, preparing them for new homes and a better life.

As we continue Donna's legacy at Dansby Den, we carry forward her love, passion, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of animals. We honor the path she blazed and the lives she touched. Our commitment to providing the same level of exceptional care reflects the love and respect we have for her memory.

Donna Adney's spirit lives on in every pet we care for, and her legacy is the cornerstone of Dansby Den's mission. We are determined to ensure that her legacy continues, as we embrace her lifelong commitment to the well-being of animals.
